World of Oblivion

I haven't been addicted to a game like this in ages. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on Xbox 360 has completely blown me away and has matched and even exceeded my expectations.
A few weeks ago I was a little bit sceptical if it would like up to what it promised, but as it turns out it's proving to be one of the best games I've played in recent years. I think I've played for around 10 hours now. The world is of gigantic proportions, the visuals a marvel, and there's a lot of things reminiscent of things like Lord of the Rings (the fantasy), Star Wars (the characters), Zelda (the adventuring) and Shenmue (the character interaction and information gathering). Having said that, it's still unique in its own way. I think I've got withdrawal symptoms. I can't wait to play more.

Louis Simpson, creator of the marvellous IHAQ was invited to Radio Cornwall for a chat this morning with one of the radio presenters whom he'd recently sent a copy of the book to. Keep up the great work, Louis!Never Did No Ham?

My flatmate, Kirsty and I went to a butcher today to buy some ham. We looked around to see what there was in the butcher's for a little while seeing all kinds of things like stir fry packs and cajun chicken specialties but couldn't quite spot the ham. Kirsty asked the young girl who was at the counter if she could buy some ham but the girl replied, "Sorry, we don't do ham... yet. We're going to do it in a month, though. We will sell lots of ham". Right, is this the only butcher's in the country that doesn't sell ham or what? I guess you had to be there to find it really funny but we both really found it hilarious. The one thing you'd think you'd be able to buy in a butcher is some ham, surely? The Work Continues...

Well, work on the site goes on. Most of the intended sections are now functional, I just need to do some imagery stuff and then start re-working the design a little bit and everything should be in place. Hopefully by the end of this weekend it will all be done and I can concentrate on other pieces of work, including a presentation about CDs and DVDs we're doing next week.Music Production

I've always thought it would be cool to produce my own music, and earlier I had a sudden urge to download some music production software. I've just installed Sony ACID XPress 5.0, which I'm assuming is the little brother (free version) of the well-renowned music software ACID Pro. Yeah, so I'll have to see how it fairs and what it can do and report back.First Blog Post

Welcome to my portfolio site, which is likely to become the place of my blog as well. I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now since they've become so popular but I wanted to make everything myself so that's what I've done.Viewing New Location

Today I finished working on a project I've been doing in Flash for the last few weeks. It is the first proper thing I've made in Flash and has been submitted as part of my degree course.Portfolio Site Coming Soon

One of the current things I'm working on is a portfolio site for my university course designed to showcase some of the digital art and technology work I've been doing. I think it's got to be finished some time around the middle of March so that's when it will appear online.Monoplex is back
