World of Oblivion

I haven't been addicted to a game like this in ages. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on Xbox 360 has completely blown me away and has matched and even exceeded my expectations.

A few weeks ago I was a little bit sceptical if it would like up to what it promised, but as it turns out it's proving to be one of the best games I've played in recent years. I think I've played for around 10 hours now. The world is of gigantic proportions, the visuals a marvel, and there's a lot of things reminiscent of things like Lord of the Rings (the fantasy), Star Wars (the characters), Zelda (the adventuring) and Shenmue (the character interaction and information gathering). Having said that, it's still unique in its own way. I think I've got withdrawal symptoms. I can't wait to play more.
