Light Up Bristol

Last night I went to "Light Up Bristol" - a light display featuring the highest-power projectors in the country beaming Christmas-themed images onto buildings in College Green in Bristol. I took my HD camcorder and did a little bit of filming, although given the low-light surroundings I'm not sure how the footage is going to turn out like, and I didn't take my tripod thinking it would be too busy with people to use. The quality of the projections were very good and it was an interesting effect achieved, although I had expected it to be a little more animated like a laser light show.

There's a Flickr group with a load of photos if you'd like to get a glimpse for yourself.

Hi Miles,

Glad you made it down to the show Pre-Christmas, I think we all would have liked it to be alittle more animated, unfortunately due to technical restrictions on how much light you can put through an LCD display, as opposed to a static slide, we felt for sheer brightness and effect, to side with the static option. Here's hoping that next year after the success of this years event, we'll be able to add alittle more magic too it.

Cheers,

Ollie Lindsey
